Emily was born, raised and currently resides in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She started singing at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Allentown and was coached by Stephen Williams and Lauren Curnow Madigan. She continued her singing career at the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts where she became a regular soloist performing Faure, Mozart, Britten, Rutter and more, all while working under Mr. David Macbeth. In 2019, Emily had the opportunity participate in a cathedral tour of England, Wales and Ireland. In 2022, Emily graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Performance and had the privilege of studying under Rebecca Lister and Kyle Zeuch. After she graduated, she accepted a position as a vocal teacher at the Community Music Institute in Annville, PA and became a member of the Concord Chamber singers of Bethlehem. In 2023, she started her teaching career at Arts Academy Charter Middle School, where she acts as the 6th grade keyboard instructor and the 7th-8th grade vocal instructor. During the 2023-24 school year, she led her 8th grade class to perform at Radio City Music Hall, opening for the Rockettes. In 2024, she and her 8th grade choir won two awards for first place in the middle school choral category and first place overall at Music in the Parks. In 2025, she led her choir to win first place again at the same competition. Most recently, in May of 2025, Emily had the opportunity to perform Sir. John Rutters “Requiem” at Carnegie Hall, in New York City with Rutter conducting the choir. Emily, while continuing to teach at AACMS, decided to continue her educational journey and is currently earning her master’s degree at Moravian University and is scheduled to graduate in the spring of 2026.
